Planning to clean decking
The deck material, condition and previous treatment determine which cleaning approach is suitable. Start with those details before choosing equipment or chemicals.
What we will ask you
- Is it timber, composite or another material, and do you know the manufacturer?
- What is the approximate area and what type of soiling or previous finish is present?
- Are there loose, damaged or slippery sections, and where would cleaning water go?
What might belong in the pack
- A cleaner approved for the confirmed material and finish.
- Compatible application and cleaning tools.
- Protection and access arrangements that follow the product instructions.
When a closer look is needed
Unsound boards or supports need attention before use. Do not assume a pressure washer or a timber cleaner is suitable for every deck, or mix cleaning products.
