FLOORING
Planning laminate flooring
The boards are only one part of the job. Room conditions, the subfloor and the chosen system determine what else belongs in the pack.
What we will ask you
- Give a room sketch with dimensions, doorways, recesses and thresholds.
- What is the subfloor, and is there known moisture, damage or movement?
- Is there underfloor heating, and which product range and room use are being considered?
What might belong in the pack
- A flooring system suitable for the room and conditions.
- Underlay or moisture provisions only where required by that system and subfloor.
- Transitions, edges and tools selected with the installation instructions.
When a closer look is needed
Unresolved moisture or movement must be addressed before a pack is approved. Do not use a universal waste percentage, gap or acclimatisation time in place of the chosen manufacturer’s instructions.
